Kesatuan Pekerja-pekerja Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KPPKTMB) akan berpiket esok di hadapan Ibu Pejabat KTMB di Stesen KTM Kuala Lumpur bagi membantah penjualan badan itu kepada MMC Berhad milik Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhari.
Setiausaha Agung KPPKTMB, Jaafar Alias berkata, peserta akan berkumpul di Stesen KTM Kuala Lumpur pada jam 5.25 petang dan berarak ke ibu pejabat KTMB.
Katanya, piket yang dijadual berlangsung hingga 6.30 petang itu akan disertai lebih 700 kakitangan KTMB seluruh negara, antaranya dari Johor Bharu dan Alor Setar.
“Piket esok tertumpu kepada pekerja KTMB sendiri, tetapi kami tidak halang jika badan seperti Kongres Kesatuan Sekerja Malaysia (MTUC) dan juga rakyat yang ingin hadir memberi sokongan,” katanya ketika dihubungi.
Melalui piket tersebut, Jaafar berkata, KPPKTMB berharap Najib Razak memberi perhatian terhadap tuntutan mereka dan tidak meneruskan penjualan itu.
